This is a Co-op This is a grass roots, all volunteer, no contracts, no catch co-operative. Therefore, you are expected to help. If you have limitations due to physical ability, childcare arrangements, etc., we understand. However, without volunteers this co-op wouldn't happen. There are many opportunities to participate!
How the Co-op works As a group, we purchase items at deep discount or wholesale prices. Items are then distributed evenly among participants. Some details:
Reasons to Join
- This is a great deal and you are helping others get a great deal, too. With the produce offering, you get approximately $50 worth of grocery store-quality produce.
- This co-op encourages a healthier lifestyle.
- You meet great people!
Return Policy There are absolutely no returns. This is a co-op. As a group, we purchase a large quantity of items at deeply discounted or wholesale prices. These items are then distributed evenly among the contributing individuals. Because we purchase as a group, individual returns are not feasible. Also, no money is made by the co-op, so once contributions are spent on co-operatively bought goods, there is no money left over for reimbursement. If you do not show up at pickup, this will constitute forfeiting your co-op share. As a courtesy site managers generally leave forgotten produce on their porch until noon, and we provide directions to their homes so you can attempt to reunite with your abandoned basket.
Weights & Measures The co-op is volunteer-run and many items are divided up by volunteers. The best effort is made to ensure accuracy, however all weights are not guaranteed accurate. |
