Contact Us

A Co-op is a group of people who work together for mutual benefit.  We are up front and open about how things work.  Our policies are as follows:

Returns
There are no returns.  This is a co-op.  We group together monetary contributions, purchase in the largest available package, and break it down to individual orders.  There is no way for us to return 1/12th of 15 cases of vegetables, etc.  Your money has been spent and we can not return it.

Pickups
Each site has a 15 minute pickup window. Please see the homepage for times at each site. Bring a container to take your produce home in! Laundry baskets, coolers, grocery bags, and boxes work great. Perishable items that are not picked up are donated by noon the same day!

Items Not Picked Up Will Be Donated
If you are unable to pick up your order, have someone do so for you! If you have not picked up your item(s) during the pickup time, we are NOT LIABLE for it.

As a COURTESY, abandoned produce and/or perishables items (bread, fruit by the case, etc.) generally are at the Site Manager's home until twelve NOON the same Saturday and then donated.  Until noon, items will be left unattended on the front porch.  If produce baskets and/or items are stolen from in front of a home, we are very sorry, but we are NOT LIABLE.  Also, the produce quality does greatly suffer sitting on a front porch, especially during summertime.  After the noon hour, absolutely all remaining produce/perishable items will be donated to a local fire house.

Abandoned cheese will be donated immediately after the Site pickup time.

Non-perishable items will be available at the following two co-ops.  If non-perishable items are not picked up within two co-op cycles, they will be donated to a local fire house.

Site Changes
Due to our size, we can no longer accomodate site changes of "other offers."  Please plan on picking up your offerings (baskets, grains, dry goods, etc.) at the site where it was ordered.

Volunteering
Volunteers should be at co-op one (1) hour before distribution.  They will receive 1 or 2 extra produce items for helping.

"Extra" produce
"Extras" are are those items that will not distribute to the whole co-op one more time (if there are 40 bags of carrots in a case and only 36 baskets, 4 bags of carrots would be "extra.") Extras of like value will be combined and distributed together.  For instance, if in the example above there were 32 extra celery bunches then the extra celery and extra carrots would be combined and people would get either extra carrots or extra celery.

If extras don't combine well, they will be left for volunteers to take.  Once volunteers have taken them, then other co-op participants make take the rest. The methodology will be to spread the benefit to as many co-op participants as possible to keep things fair, with volunteers getting 1 or 2 additional items for volunteering.

Weights & Measures
All weights and measures are NOT EXACT.  Our scales aren't perfect.  Our volunteers aren't either.

Open Containers
Many products are distributed in non-factory sealed containers.
